Lion Head watercolor

Digital watercolor painting of a lion's head.
The lion is a large mammal of the Felidae (cat) family. Some large males weigh over 250 kg (550 lb), so it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger. Today, wild lions live in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia. Lions are adapted for life in grasslands and mixed areas with trees and grass.

Jaguar in watercolor

Digital watercolor painting of a jaguar. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Western Hemisphere. The jaguar's present range extends from Southwestern United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Apart from a known and possibly breeding population in Arizona (southeast of Tucson), the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century.
